Genesis by indeestudios Genesis by indeestudios
Based on the Wiccan creation myth of Myria: "with the song came motion, waves that poured outward and became all the spheres and circles of the worlds. The Goddess became filled with love, swollen with love, and She gave birth to a rain of bright spirits that filled the worlds and became all beings."

Stained glass, traditional lead came method, with airbrushed and painted enamel details.

I don't much about this myth but I love the compelling imagery. It just oozes fertility and motherhood and how the Earth is the best known life-support system in the universe much like the womb.

I am currently learning to make stained glass windows, myself, and this makes me excited to one day get as skilled as you obviously are.

I know! I've been helping my aunts and cousin make a window set for either side of her front door, but since we're all somewhat new to this, it's turning out to be a bit too complicated for us ^^; but we're still trying.

I also love to slump glass. We make bowls and stuff alot in our little craft house :3

what would a piece like this sell for??

Hi 'krash,

This piece would be right around $750 if commissioned directly. Galleries do a markup, so roughly double that if bought at retail. Thanks for asking!

which is a deal considering the work that goes into such a piece. If you ever want to do some trade work, yeah right, like photos of your work, I would gladly drive to your studio. When I was just a little shit my mother played around with doing some stained glass, it was a lot of work.

I may take you up on that! Glass is horrible to photograph, and I'm never happy with the results.

it is a challenge, you have to remember you are photographing reflections and refractions more than the object it's self.
